Study #5 self portrait

I had my friend who is a photographer take a head shot of me for this assignment. I then thought if I opened a canvas on procreate with the same drawing dimensions that I could draw reference lines on my real face and match them to my drawing.

I drew out what I thought to be the dimensions, I really struggled though. My lips are so small I hated drawing them and I was struggling to understand how big to make the eyes even with the references on the ipad.
I started with the eyes but I already could tell they were bigger than mine actually are.
couldnt get the skin smooth, proportions were off, didnt like anything about this.
pretty much gave up on the hair and just did it as quickly as possible because the whole drawing was making me upset and I had so much other homework.
